Kristian Davenport

Kristian Davenport has an extensive career operating in various capacities within both the US Army Special Forces and the United States Marine Corps. As both a junior and senior weapons specialist assigned to an Operational Detachment – Alpha (ODA), he trained, assisted, and advised numerous foreign military personnel while on several combat tours to Afghanistan and other parts of the world. Kristian has been on multiple exchange trips with the British SAS and has extensive training in Close Target Reconnaissance (CTR). He has served as one of the Close Quarters Battle (CQB) instructors for the Special Operations Training- Detachment (SOT-D) and a graduate of the Special Forces Counter Terrorism Course (SFARTAETC). Prior to his selection to Special Forces, Kristian served with the 2nd Battalion 3Rd Marines and then with Diplomatic Security Service with the State Department at various United States Embassies to include Hungry, Serbia, and Australia. Kristian has served as a sworn police officer assigned to the full-time SWAT team located in Little Rock, AR, and has a Bachelor of Science degree from AMU in Sports and Health Sciences.

Charles Mollineaux

Charles Mollineaux is a 25-year member of the Law Enforcement community and his career includes service in Corrections, Gang Intelligence, Police Academy, Patrol, and Training Bureau. Charles’ assignment was to the Belleville (NJ) Police Department's Emergency Services Unit where he served as a Team Leader, Assault Team Member, Breacher, and Firearms and Tactics Instructor. He has an extensive background in Close Quarters Combat (CQC) and is certified in Explosive Breaching, SWAT tactics, and Precision Marksmanship. Charles also served actively as a military Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician and assisted the Intelligence community during his 23-year military career with the United States Army and United States Air Force. Charles is a combat veteran and former career service member.

Alfonso Alfaro
Instructor Cadre

Authority on course content for student didactic materials and courses. Lead senior instructor for small unit development courses. Ensures all translated materials are correct in verbiage and format. Alfonso is a 21-year veteran serving with the US Army Special Forces as a Weapons and Intelligence Non-Commissioned Officer. He has served extensively on Special Forces “A” Detachments throughout Central and South America and the Caribbean. In the numerous deployments, Alfonso has trained both military and police units in all phases of firearms and tactical subjects. During a three-year period, Alfonso was responsible for the training of 40 to 50 officers per class in a 6-week training program; this was a reoccurring project that was conducted four times per year. Alfonso has an in-depth knowledge of military and civilian weapons and tactics such as advanced marksmanship training and advanced urban tactics. Alfonso’s competent disciplined professional approach and demonstrated high standards of professional conduct led to his being hand-picked by senior Officers in his unit to train members of US and foreign nation´s police departments. Alfonso is fully capable of training, mentoring, and leading units in Special Operations subjects such as special reconnaissance and direct-action missions and holds qualifications with all types of small arms. Light and heavy. During his last tenure with the 7th Special Forces Group, Al was handpicked to represent his organization during a personnel exchange with various countries in the southern hemisphere where he was responsible for instructing police and military units in a variety of subjects ranging from basic firearms marksmanship, advanced police tactics, antiterrorism, special operations training, high-risk warrant entry techniques, and other paramilitary subjects.         EMAIL  »

Joseph Hudert
Instructor Cadre

Joe Hudert is a combat veteran of three conflicts to include a combat jump as a member of the 82nd Airborne Division during the invasion of Panama. After serving with the 82nd during Desert Shield and Desert Storm, Joe volunteered for and was selected to the US Army Special Forces with whom he deployed for two additional combat tours in the war in Afghanistan. In Afghanistan, Joe served as Master Breacher and advisor to the Afghan Counter-Terrorist Pursuit Team (3rd Commando) conducting numerous combat operations throughout Uruzgan and Helmand provinces. As a Demolitions Expert serving on a Special Forces “A” Detachment he trained and advised foreign units in Central Asia and South America in various military skills to include Demolition and Advanced Military Operations in Urban Terrain. He has served in the capacity of Master Breacher at the Special Operations Training – Detachment (SOT-D) and is an expert on all facets of mechanical and explosive entry measures. Joe is a graduate of the Individual Terrorism Awareness Course (INTAC) and the Special Operations Counter-Terrorism Course (SFARTAETC).

Randell W. Leonard

Randell Leonard possesses over twenty-five years of specialized counter-terrorism expertise and currently serves as the Select and Training Program Manager for Sterling Global Operations where he is responsible for the oversight and management of multiple classified operational and training projects for various intelligence community organizations, and he concurrently serves as a Senior Advisor for Spartan Group. During his career, Randy has developed, implemented, and managed both training curriculum and operational standard operating procedures that were critical to the success of U.S. intelligence missions in semi-permissive and non-permissive environments globally. A former operational member of the U.S. Navy Seal teams he was selected and assigned to the NAVSPECWARDEVGRU, a select group chosen from the top 1% of the Navy, responsible for developing advanced tactics and carrying out classified national security missions. Mr. Leonard served as a Supervisory Special Agent within the Intelligence Community (IC) for five years overseeing and delegating assignments to other agents and managing $15 million worth of weapons, communications, and surveillance equipment. He is credited for developing the baseline low- and no-profile protective operations tactics, techniques, and procedures used to design the current program curriculum and standard operating procedures for several Government intelligence organizations. Mr. Leonard is a certified U.S. Navy Master Training Specialist and his training expertise enabled these organizations to conduct over 300,000 high threat missions and Counter-Terrorism operations with zero fatalities in non-permissive environments. Mr. Leonard currently holds an active Top Secret/SCI clearance with a single scope poly. He has trained thousands of law enforcement officers, military personnel and civilians, and brings that depth and breadth of knowledge to his current position as the Senior Advisor while continuing his service to our nation.

Paul Carnicella

Paul Carnicella began studying Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2000 under the national Jiu-Jitsu and Judo champion Edson Carvalho. His background also includes American Boxing, Thai Kickboxing, and Russian Sambo. He has competed in the Masters' Division at the Mundials where he won his weight division and placed third in the absolute division. He also took second place in the Black Belt Division of the Battle at the Beach in 2007. Paul is currently a member of the Newark Police Emergency Response Team (E.R.T.) and holds the rank of detective. This team is one of the most active SWAT teams in the Eastern U.S.. His Law enforcement background includes the NPD Tactical Auto Recovery Group and Enforcement Team (TARGET), Fugitive Apprehension Squad, Police Academy, and Firearms, instructor. Paul was also the primary instructor for the Combatives Fighting System developed specifically for police tactical units, elite military units, and protective service specialists. He has served as a protection agent and CAT team member for various dignitary protection missions including the U.S. Secret Service.

Paul has trained various military groups including the U.S. Army Special Forces, U.S. Air Force Special Operations, and Law Enforcement Tactical Teams.

Scott Sayre
Instructor Cadre

Lieutenant Scott Sayre is a 20 year veteran of the Newark (NJ) Police Department where he currently serves as a Troop Leader for the SWAT Element and supervisor assigned to the Special Operations Division. Unit duties include Counter-Terrorism/Hostage Rescue, High-Risk Warrant Entry, Hazmat intervention, and various rescue parameters. Scott also serves as a supervisor for the Rescue Dive Team and in that capacity serves as a Master Dive Instructor for all tactical and SCUBA operations. As a law enforcement trainer, he has instructed numerous municipal, county, and federal law enforcement members in advanced tactical weapons and entry techniques. Scott has also served with the Spartan Group as a Shift Leader, Protection Agent, and Counter Assault Team member operating throughout the metropolitan area and the eastern United States.

Salvatore Galvano

Sal Galvano is currently assigned to the Newark (NJ) Police Special Operations Division where he serves as a cell leader for the SWAT Element. He is a member of the training cadre for the unit and Primary Instructor for Close Quarters Battle and supporting skills. He has been instrumental in the training of team members and municipal and county agencies in all aspects of advanced marksmanship and the high-risk entry mission. Prior to his selection to the Special Operations Division, Sal has served in the patrol division, the plainclothes anti-crime unit, and Criminal Investigative Division. In addition to his various firearm instructor qualifications, he holds certifications as a HAZMAT Technician, less lethal/chemical munitions instructor, and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and has served as a police academy instructor.

Peter Bumanlag

Pete Bumanlag is an operational member of the Newark (NJ) Police Emergency Response Team assigned to the Special Operations Division where he serves as a cell leader and Close Quarters Battle instructor. In that capacity, he has been involved in the training and assessment of various tactical teams throughout the central and northern New Jersey areas. Prior to his selection to the Special Operations Division, Pete served in the Patrol Division, Narcotics Squad, and the legendary Auto Theft Task Force (ATTF). He holds various instructor certifications to include defensive tactics, diversionary device implementation, and unarmed-edged weapons defense. He is a current Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and adjunct Police Academy instructor and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics & Finance from Rutgers University.

Gabriel Rispoli

Gabe Rispoli is a 22 year veteran of the Essex County (NJ) Sheriff’s Office with the majority of his career spent in law enforcement special operations. He is currently assigned to the Tactical Response Team, the Detective Bureau, and serves on a warrant execution squad. Gabe previously worked full-time in the Executive Protection Unit and served 12 years as a member of the countywide K-9/Bomb Squad as a K-9 handler and K-9 trainer for narcotics detection, explosive detection, and human tracking. As a K-9 handler, Gabe participated in the service and execution of countless high-risk search warrants resulting in the seizure of large volumes of narcotics and firearms. He is also the owner and President of Alpha K-9, a private security firm providing K-9 explosive detection services to the corporate sector including major shipping and receiving facilities and cruise lines. Gabe holds a Master’s degree in Human Resources Development as well as several certifications in SWAT tactics, Methods of Instruction, SCUBA operations, and freefall skydiving.

Walter Andzel, PhD
Instructor Cadre

Dr. Andzel is a professor of Exercise Physiology at Kean University in New Jersey. He received his Ph.D. in Applied Physiology from Columbia University. At Kean University, he is coordinator of the Adult Fitness Program and Director of the Exercise Physiology Lab. He has completed research papers on the effects of warm-up on cardio-respiratory endurance performance and on the physiological profiles of the military, firefighter police personnel. He is a consultant to man Top Amateur and Professional athletes including the New York Giants. Dr. Andzel is also a special exercise consultant to the Medical Naval Advisory Board for Special Warfare Operations. This includes the SEAL pre-BUD/S, BUD/S, the United States Marine Corps, and much other Law Enforcement and Military Units. He is also a Graduate Adjunct Professor in the Health Administration Program at Kennedy Western University. Dr. Andzel is also a featured author in many fitness and exercise magazines.

​Marc Callahan

Marc Callahan has served extensively in various capacities within the US Army Special Forces. As a senior weapons specialist assigned to an Operational Detachment – Alpha (ODA), he trained, assisted, and advised numerous foreign military and police units throughout Central and South America. Mark has served combat tours in Afghanistan in 2003, 2006, and 2009. In his 2006 deployment, Marc served as a Special Forces Team Sergeant where he directed and supervised various SF combat embedded advisors teams assigned to special operations coalition forces to include elements from France, Poland, Romania, and the United Arab Emirates. During 2009 he again served as a Team Sergeant tasked with the advising and leading of the Tier 1 Afghan (2nd Commando) Kandak operating throughout Southeastern Afghanistan. Mark has been assigned as a Committee Chief for the Special Operations Training - Detachment (SOT-D) where he has been instrumental in the training of US Special Operations forces in Close Quarters Battle and supporting skills. Prior to his selection to Special Forces, Marc served with the 3rd Infantry Division in Germany and is a graduate of numerous advanced special operations schools to include the Special Operations Counter-Terrorism Course (SFARTAETC). Marc has also been instrumental in the training and advising of law enforcement hostage rescue and dignitary protection units throughout the northeastern United States.
